Before starting this post I wish to make this very clear that this post is to not to hurt, disrespect or criticize anybody neither against anybody. Its just my thoughts which I am sharing to everybody. I agree to the fact that Clinical Psychology is one branch of Psychology. To practise as a Clinical Psychologist one needs to do M.Phil in Clinical Psychology, RCI recognized. Its a two years specialized training course in the field of clinical psychology where the training focuses on learning psychological tests and therapy. Just like Doctors have their own professional body Medical Council of India(MCI), in the similar way if Clinical Psychologists get their registration from a professional body like Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) what's the harm in it? Why all fingers are pointed towards this M.Phil course and RCI? Its good that we clinical psychologists are getting license and authenticity. Then why people fail to understand this? Its very disheartening to see people from Psychology background failing to understand this basic fact of what clinical psychology is and whom should we call clinical psychologists. If u can't support anything, that's is Ok but please at least Dont comment anything negative about it. This is my request to everybody from the Psychology field before commenting anything about this, please know the basic facts about M.Phil in clinical psychology, RCI recognized and then give your comments. Even in the new mental health bill its clearly written whom we can call Clinical Psychologists, if anybody want they can check it. Once again, this post is not to hurt anybody, but still if I have, I apologize. As a RCI registered Clinical Psychologist I feel responsible towards my profession, so please Dont keep any misconceptions about the profession of clinical psychologists and about RCI recognized M.Phil course.
